Legacy Investing, a real estate investment firm specializing in customized facilities for data-intensive tenants, faced a unique challenge. As part of a multi-phase downtown Minneapolis data center project, they needed to install three 3MW generators on the roof of an existing building. The solution had to balance size and weight constraints while meeting an aggressive six-month delivery schedule.
Global Power Supply stepped in with a tailored approach and by leveraging supplier partnerships, secured three in-stock MTU DS3000 diesel generators and engineered lightweight aluminum composite enclosures to meet rooftop requirements. Working in collaboration with the general contractors and onsite teams, Global Power oversaw a complex delivery process that involved street closures, crane operations, and around-the-clock onsite support from Global’s teams, manufacturers, and local contractors.
Within the tight timeline, the units were successfully installed and secured, providing Legacy Investing with reliable backup power that ensured compliance and uptime for their data center tenant.
